Jewelry Frames

First off before there are pictures, just wanted to make a note that my Title place for my entries does NOT have spell check on it... very saddening.

This is going to be one loooong post with pictures!

Starting out, this is what I was going for: (this is *NOT* mine)

Now on to getting some starting supplies, using the old leftover wood from the latuse Dave had Neil and I cut out pretty equal sized pieces of wood for the frame. Since it was outside and dirty I felt the need to disinfect it... I'm SO weird. There in this picture you will see my purse, water bottle, and some tea from Snapple (on sale at slaveway!)

After cleaning them, they were painted, let dry in the nice sun, painted again, and dried again.
After using a hot glue gun to glue the frame together I painted on the word "AUTUMN" in a brown-ish color, flipped the frame over and hot glued some festive fall themed ribbons to the back.

See? The wood isn't that even, but it's left overs so who really cares, it looks more handmade that way.

Glue on some fake fall leaves and there you go. (Would have preferred REAL fall leaves, but they are just now turning more and more, will use real leaves for a later project) Also, I didn't like the bright-semi-clear blue push-pins so I painted them to match the rest of the project.

Now on the the girls doing the project!!!

I love this art table that I had when I was a little girl. There is a brown paper roll that just comes right out! I used that as a table cover so the paint can be directly on the paper (easy clean up and easy mixing of colors).
Lauren is seen here rocking out to the Rob Zombie we had playing.
Megan's is on top, and Lauren's is on the bottom. This is before the gluing of things!
Lauren's is very much symmetrical, she's like her Aunty that way. Since she's older she got to help a little with the glue gun. She's very proud of this one as well she should be!
This is Megan's!!! She has it displayed on the bottom bunk, hers! She's so creative that it's dimend shaped and not square like Lauren's.
