Finished Again

I finished the series again! Bwah-ha-ha! My mother is right, I'm just like her. She can't put a book down (especially if it's one of a series) until it's all done (and I mean ALL done). I feel so proud! I not only read seven books, but I read them TWICE! That's a grand total of 14 books! Bwah-ha-ha! They are rather nice. I like them... a lot... I don't like how it ends (again with the what happened to the other characters after the battle was done).

Isabelle has been extremely affectionate when I was reading in the big reading chair... it's *my* reading chair now since my big blue chair is downstairs and being used by my brother. I love the cream-colored chair! It's comfy! Anyways... she was really affectionate and was demanding attention while I was reading; laying across my right arm (I lean to the right in a chair), getting upset when I move my right arm to turn the page, somehow falling between the arm of the chair and my lap... still not sure how that happens since the arm chair is like a good foot wide! It's big and comfy. ^_^

Sakura-con is coming up and I can't wait! Money's going to be super tight this year, but I have faith we'll make it just as fun... not so much shopping, but still fun... I hope.

I finished my sisters red hat and then continued onto the other two hats with puffs on the top! I'll try to get pictures with the two girls wearing their matching pink hat with purple pom-pom/puff at the top and purple hat with a pink pom-pom/puff on the top. I've been knitting a red scarf while I've been propping up the books with a pillow... and with Isabelle. Now I"m back to my chair next to the cat box with no plans to read a book for a few days... need my computer/technology fix.

Harry Potter

HARRY POTTER: You heard correct: as of 3-something this morning I have finished the whole series. I cried, laughed, and enjoyed the books immensely. When will the rest of the movies come out!? I hope they do a good job. Ugh! When did I start reading them? Hopefully we'll figure out how long it took... just curious. Sometime after the first of February I think. You know, I think it could have been better to not make Harry Potter movies, but a series... that way more details could be in it. I still don't want it to end. I want her to have made a better prologue thing... not enough detail, like what happened to the other characters and explain things better... GAH!


PROJECTS!? Yes, I have been knitting! I've made two hats, working on my third soon. I'll have pictures somewhere... I hid his eyes for protection...

The second hat was started as a red Twilight scarf from Jan 5th. I'll get pictures up soon, I want to take them with my sister wearing her hat.

SAMURI! He's been very playful at night... he didn't like me staying up late last night, but he's so adorable that I just looked at him and said "You're so cuute! Yes you are, yesyouare!" in a rather annoying baby voice. I love to take baby to my fuzzy babies.

ISABELLE: She isn't doing too well. Her ashthma (however it's spelled) has been acting up again. She had to get a painful shot to open her lungs up, apparently she could have suffocated because she couldn't get air in. Generally cats with her issue have to come in every 2-3 weeks, but with her its like 4-6 weeks. The vet recommends coming in when it starts to get bad again on a regular basis. She's doing better now and is very affectionate.

Banana Bread

Here I am eating some banana bread that M and I made. It's pretty good, but when she does it it's better. Don't know what it is. Still pretty good though.

I talked to H just a minute ago! We haven't talked in months- it's amazing how much we can catch up on in 4 minutes and 26 seconds. It was like a weeks worth of talking into less then five minutes! I have to say she's one of my sisters.

Driving

Driving- while it is incredibly fun to drive (I enjoy it) it is also tiresome on the back after a bit.

I had so much fun visiting N! While it was only a few days and we didn't get to spend a tn of time together, it was fun to just visit with her!

So aside from that happening on Thursday and got back yesterday, just making sure that I have something every Saturday for the kids to do (ie. cupcakes, cookies, etc).

No current craft projects... thinking of things, but not really sure what to do.

Did not end up giving blood the other day.

This life is very uneventful and I apologize for the lack of postings. Hope you can forgive me.

Giving Blood

It would seem that my ability to give blood (or lack there of) will be tested today. I'm giving it another go- only a succseful once out of *counts* seven times... lucky number eight here I come!

USB Charged Batteries

Now I have seen it all: a battery that can be charged threw a usb port.* Doesn't that seem a little, well, far fetched? Granted I think it's way cool, but it doesn't seem like it will be that popular. What do you think?

Having the kids here is both great and challenging. Neil's and mine stress has skyrocketed because of things changing around us. But I have a feeling this will only help our relationship. Grated right now we're a bit on edge and snapping at each other but things are getting better.

I finally finished the hat I talked about in my January 5th post. I have a picture of the top of the hat where I (finally) did the graceful combining of the ribs. Err whatever they're called. I hope the picture makes sense.

The youngest child M essentially made the brownies- honestly. She's really awesome, they all are. We put most of the brownie mix into ice cream cones for fun.

no pictures for you

Well... with the bulky red yarn I changed it to this "Mary Poppins" pattern for a bag... I want to try and make a good bag this time.

Things are hectic here as we clean up and move a ton of things in the basement and in my old room... which my honey and I have moved into. We're all a bit on edge because one will do things differently and "less efficient" then the other might think it may be done or someone can't do much because of pain. Blah.

Isabelle is doing okay; she went to the vet today to see why she's been kinda like dry heaving. It's terrible to listen to. The vet said to give her some medications which is what we're going to do. Things aren't bad, but they could be better for her.

Samuri has been very social lately. It's rather nice, but short lived I"m afraid since the three kids and two adults will be here (like tomorrow) he will be confined to the bedroom again. Poor guy.

Stash

I'm officially a knitter; I have a stash of yarn.

Watch as it magically fits into *ONE* drawer... okay, so it's not a big stash, but thanks to dad (dad dad, not step dad) for the tons of really nice wool yarns (as seen above in white, red, and light blue/grey) and mom for the 25$ gift card to the craftwarehouse (that is the big long ones). So I'm going to have fun.

Okay I lied, I already started on three new projects. The first one is the red scarf that I started while watching the movie Twilight. Not so fancy but still soft.

The second one is from mom's gift card, it's nice chunky soft yarn that I'm making into a thick scarf... another scarf, big surprise.

And thirdly is the wool hat I"ll be making out of the fine wool yarn dad sent me for Christmas. it's really thin (maybe for socks?) so I'm doubling it up and making it in the XL size. Yeah... we'll see how that turns out.

The New Year is here!

Let's see, finished the last posted knitting project in time for christmas day. Turned out rather nice, wish I had taken pictures though. Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it. :P Not sure what my next project should be. Tried to start a funny (not funky) scarf while I went to see Twilight (alone). I'm just not feeling the scarf thing. I need to try something else.

For christmas, the family got a wii with the games included: wii Fit, and wii Sports. They are fun. I'm hoping that it will help our family to get into better shape, but dad and I are the only one's using it. I have TWO dads. One dad and one step dad that we currently live with. Dad we don't live with sent me a ton of wool fingering yarn (I'm assuming for socks). I want to make things but I have no idea what (aside from socks which I'm still pretty scared to try).

Aside from that, still trying to figure out how to get back to work...
